Waste Not, Want Not is an achievement in The Long Dark.

This achievement is obtained after harvesting ten entire deer carcasses in a single Survival Mode game. It is most easily done on Pilgrim. A Hunting Knife is highly recommended.
An entire carcass includes all of the meat, hide and gut. The deer carcasses do not have to be the player's own kills, as a Wolf can kill the deer and be driven off.
