Mule Bridge is a rope bridge leading to the Last Prospect mine. The shifting path across is dangerous, with a fall being lethal; however, the bridge does offer some stellar views of the ravine below and a rather quick and easy access to the mine. A pack of Timberwolves patrol the road before the bridge, when approaching along the eastern road. A collapsed minecart trestle is found below the bridge.
Wintermute[]
In Episode 4, Will Mackenzie is required to cross this bridge during the mission The Detonators in order to retrieve Detonators within the mine. Upon completing it, an earthquake destroys an entrance to the mine and the bridge is permanently destroyed for the rest of the episode, forcing Will to find another way back to Blackrock Prison.
Survival Mode changes[]
In Survival Mode, the bridge has been destroyed by a landslide. In order to access Last Prospect, the player must take an alternate path starting from the bottom of the ravine nearby which is accessed by climbing down a long rope at Fool's Corner, which is guarded by a wolf. The survivor then has to jump down a small waterfall, evade two more wolves and climb up two ropes with no shelter in between them, before continuing onto a path to the mine; the same path that the player uses to return to Blackrock Prison in Wintermute.
There is a supply crate possibly containing a MRE and Go! Energy Drink underneath the now collapsed bridge. These supplies are quite helpful in scaling the cliff up to Last Prospect.
There is a Prepper Cache a few steps from the bridge. It is reached by following the rock on the right (when looking from the bridge), climbing up a small incline and going around a Scrub Brush.
