The Long Dark Wiki

I have a little graduation present for you. Here. You've earned it. And I have a feeling that you're going to be needing it before you're through.

Jeremiah's Knife was a tool in pre-redux Wintermute from Episode 2. it was removed in the 2018 Redux release of Episode 2.

Overview[]

Jeremiah's knife functions identically to a Hunting Knife: a self-defense tool, harvesting animal carcasses, Cloth from curtains/pillows, tinder from cardboard, breaking ice for Ice Fishing, and crafting at a Work Bench.

It was given to Will Mackenzie after graduating from Jeremiah's Survival School (Predux), and is used by Mackenzie to cut his hand to make the scent from his blood attract the Old Bear to his position, in order for him to kill it.

It was removed during the Redux of Wintermute: Episodes 1 and 2 and is now unobtainable, but is still present in the Wintermute game files.

Repair[]

Jeremiah's knife can be repaired with a Whetstone and the Sharpening skill, restoring 3% condition to the knife.

Harvest[]

It can be harvested for 1 Scrap Metal.

Combat[]

Jeremiah's Knife cannot be equipped, but may be selected to defend one's self at the start of a Wolf Struggle, causing it some Condition damage.
