Headaches are an Affliction that have a 100% chance of occurring after drinking a Go! Energy Drink. When an energy drink is consumed, the edges of the player's screen will distort and blur, producing a chromatic aberration effect. When the Energy Boost effect of the energy drink has expired, a Headache affliction begins. As a side effect, all Stamina is instantly lost when a Headache begins.

While the affliction is active, the distortion effect of the energy drink will persist, and the entire screen will occasionally distort similar to the Pain affliction (but with a slight blue filter instead). Unlike the Pain Affliction, this effect can't be treated with Painkillers or Rose Hip Tea. If in a safe spot, the player can simply use the "Pass Time" option for an hour, canceling partway through by pressing Escape.
It has no long-term effects on the player, only lasting twenty minutes or one hour. It serves as a simple distraction and a slight annoyance, however it does prevent Research Books from being researched until the Headache subsides.
