Field Dressing Your Kill, Vol. I is a Collectible item found in Episode 1 and Episode 2 of the Wintermute story mode, and starts the The Basics of Survival side mission. Completing the associated task rewards the blueprints for the Rabbitskin Hat and Rabbitskin Mitts.

Episode 1:

During the course of the story, the survivor can find the book Field Dressing Your Kill, Vol. I on a work bench in the outside shed by Paradise Meadows Farm in Milton and are tasked to place a snare and catch at least one rabbit.

Episode 2:

If not collected in Episode 1, the book Field Dressing Your Kill, Vol. I can instead be found on a shelf on the first floor of the Hunting Lodge in the Broken Railroad region. If the survivor has already achieved the goals of placing a snare and catching a rabbit, the mission may auto-complete at this time.
