Bunker Rifle is a unique variant of the Hunting Rifle in The Long Dark, added by the Tales from the Far Territory expansion.

Overview

A lighter blue colored rifle, this item boasts a visibly different outline than most other rifles in Great Bear, shown by the cutouts on the stock, sides of the handguard, and front sight post, with a more visible magazine well to boot. Further adding to the difference, the rifle is made up of a polymer composite, decreasing the weight of the item overall. However, this also heavily decreases its durability- a single shot costs a whopping 4% of the rifle's overall Condition (2% at Rifle Firearm Level 5), being only able to fire 25 shots from full condition to ruined (50 at Rifle Firearm Level 5). Expect to burn through a lot of repair kits (or time at the Milling Machine) if you're planning on using this weapon.

The Bunker Rifle also features a unique set of iron sights with a pointed front sight post, letting you better see where your shot will land.

Successful shots on live targets provide experience to the Rifle Firearm skill.

Only obtainable as a trade item through Sutherland, the Trader.

Rifle is more stable and sways less than other rifles

Trivia

Considering that the Trader only trades this rifle after his Tale is completed, and that it's name and description is related to the various Prepper Caches on the Island, it may be possible that this rifle originally belonged to Sutherland's brother Wyatt.
