Boss's Settlement

Boss's Encampment is a ruined series of buildings high in the mountains near Idle Camp in the Zone of Contamination.

Overview[]

The settlement consists of 3 ruined building and an intact shed. There is no real shelter to be found, but a Warm Cave, Scaffolder's Hideout, is a short walk away across a wooden bridge.

Ptarmigans and Rabbits spawn nearby in the settlement, with a few containers containing loot to be found in the ruined buildings.

A vista location is located at the cliff side overlooking the railroad with a destroyed picnic table. A human skull is found near one of the buildings, which contains a hidden lockbox Supply Cache as part of the Buried Echoes Tale.

Trivia[]

The location name Boss's Settlement uses an incorrect possessive noun, as the correct in-game spelling should be "Boss' Settlement."

This location likely was the headquarters for Dr. Rüdiger and/or the Langston Mine Foreman while overseeing the construction of the machine in the mine, but was burned down to cover up what took place in the mine after it was evacuated.
